Little is known about the artist and illustrator Juan Duran Tinoco, who signed his work Juan Intenoche. Mason Manufacturing (and other household manufacturers) hired him to design artwork for their Monterey furniture series. We know that he was born in Mexico in 1905 and passed away in Gardena, California in 1988.
