Aqua, also referred to as Turquoise Blue in company material, was the last color to be added to Hostessware around 1936. If you’ve been looking at Silver Green, you can see how close it is in hue. It’s easy to pick out when you see it with your own eyes, but a challenge when viewing in photographs. Aqua is one of the rarest of the Hostessware colors, accounting for roughly 4% of found pieces. I’m not sure why it was never more popular or widely produced, but I do know that it is ridiculously hard to find. In many of the individual pieces, like cups, saucers, and bowls, it’s tough to pull together a complete set.
