Don Blanding Designs

Don Blanding was an American poet and author known for his work in the 1920s and 1930s. He was born in Oklahoma in 1894 and grew up in Kansas, where he developed an interest in literature and poetry. He served in the U.S. military during World War I, and after the war, he began to write and publish his poetry. Blanding was known for his romantic and nostalgic style, and his work often focused on nature, love, and travel. He published several collections of poetry and several books of travel writing and essays, and he was popular in the United States and abroad during his lifetime. In the 1940s, Blanding designed a variety of illustrations used on Vernon Kilns dinnerware designs. Blanding died in 1957.
